Literary Translators Award

Leon de Kock is a critic, poet, translator and author at large. He was formerly a professor of literature at UNISA, the University of the Witwatersrand, and Stellenbosch University. His books include three volumes of poetry, two academic monographs, a novel, and several works of literary translation, including Triomf by Marlene van Niekerk and translations of works by authors such as Ingrid Winterbach and Etienne van Heerden.
