Thandi Sliepen was born in Cape town in 1971 and immigrated with her family to New Zealand in 1976 where she completed her formal education at Onslow College in Wellington.
She started painting, sculpting and continued to write poetry prolifically. She has exhibited widely in South Africa, New Zealand and the Netherlands.
- ‘The turtle dove told me’ is Thandi’s first published book of poetry.
