Phakama Mbonambi is deputy editor at Sawubona magazine, where he handles, among other duties, the books pages. He is the former publishing editor of Wordsetc, a literary journal that shone a spotlight on new writing in South Africa and the Diaspora. He’s a graduate of Rhodes and Wits universities.
Mbonambi has worked in the production departments of the Sunday Times, Sportsday, The Star, Business Day and Sunday World.
