Tshepiso Makgoloane

Tshepiso Makgoloane is a diligent and ambitious young lady, aged 24. She was born and raised in Patantshwane Village, at Sekhukhune district in Limpopo province. She went to Patantshwane primary and Mafato primary School (Motetema-where she is currently residing) and matriculated from Leokeng secondary school. Nonetheless, she is a bookworm with enormous passion and interest in African languages and literature at its entirety. Although she writes in both English and Sepedi, she finds more pleasure when writing in her mother tongue as she regards that as a significant way of venerating her roots and as an omen of standing proudly in the face of the world as an African to confidently represent not only her country but the African continent as a whole. Tshepiso, as determined as she is, is concurrently a law student, pursuing LLB degree. This passionate author self-published her first poetry collection titled Tša maAfrika through the ViaAfrika WritePublishRead Self-publishing programme. Her poetry collection is found in two formats, ebook and paperback. Adding to that, the world is eagerly awaiting her other Sepedi poetry collection which is currently in publication process by the National Library Of South Africa under the Community Publishing Grant. Just as much as she finds happiness, as a way of communicating with the world at large and healing within writing, some of her poems were published in the Sol Plaatje European Union Poetry Anthology VIII in 2018 and 2021. Furthermore, her other poems were published on the Avbob poetry competition website. This brilliant outspoken poet, is an aspiring programme director and an eloquent motivational speaker in possession of an achievement certificate in excellent communication and narration and also a certificate of completion in the WritePublishRead Self-publishing programme.
